What should you check on an NDIS invoice?
A useful invoice check starts with the basics, then moves through the parts most likely to cause questions. Your invoice should clearly show who provided the support, who received it, what was delivered, when it happened, the quantity or hours, the rate and the total.
Where an NDIS support item applies, check the current official NDIS Pricing Schedule and the full item description. A line item number alone does not explain whether a support matches a participant's plan or agreement.
- Your name or business name, ABN, contact details, invoice number and invoice date.
- Participant details, service date, support description, hours or quantity, rate and total.
- The correct support item and current rate information where they apply.
- Travel, transport or cancellation details only where they were agreed and are relevant.
- The correct recipient and payment details before the invoice leaves your hands.
Why line items and rates need a current check
NDIS pricing information can change. Avoid relying on an old screenshot, saved spreadsheet or a rate remembered from a previous invoice. Open the current official pricing document and read the complete support-item description, including any limits or conditions relevant to the support delivered.
Shifts Primed does not select a line item or confirm a participant's funding. If you are unsure whether the support is agreed, ask the participant, nominee, family, Support Coordinator or Plan Manager before invoicing.
Make the final check repeatable
A short routine reduces last-minute guessing. Check the invoice details first, compare hours with your records, recalculate the total, review any extras and confirm the recipient. The Shifts Primed Invoice Checker walks you through that routine one decision at a time.
Frequently asked questions
Does the checker tell me which NDIS line item to use?
No. It helps you check your invoice and directs you to current official information. It does not interpret a plan, choose a line item or confirm funding.
Does it store my participant's information?
The checker is designed as a guided administrative check. Do not enter participant names, NDIS numbers, health information or other sensitive personal information into support or contact messages.
Can an invoice checker guarantee payment?
No. No checklist can guarantee payment. It can help you catch common administrative problems before sending an invoice.
